What is a LED?
LED - Light Emitting Diode – is an electrical component. A LED is a semiconductor diode that emits light when an electric current is applied in the forward direction of the device.
Regular light bulbs produce light by heating a filament, thus around 80% of the energy required is wasted on heat production rather than creating light.

The LEDs use by DST work via Direct Current (DC) and therefore do not flicker and produce light that is healthier and easier on the eye.

LED Lighting

DST is an expert in the production of lighting based on “Light Emitting Diode” - (LED) Technology. The company produces lighting products for offices, classrooms, homes and other locations (What is a LED?).

DST’s LED lighting solutions offer the following advantages:

Huge saving in electricity. LEDs are approximately 80% more efficient than regular lighting.

  • LEDs can emit light of an intended color without the use of color filters that traditional lighting methods require. This is more efficient and can lower initial costs.
  • LED lighting is continuous, does not flicker
  • LED lights offer an extremely long lifespan, up to 100000 hours.
  • LED lights are dimmable
  • LED lights are environmentally friendly

Use of DST's lighting solution reduces greenhouse gas emissions by hundreds of kilograms every year. They are also recyclable.

DST’s LED Lighting products feature exclusive innovations developed by the company’s engineers: a current management component that ensures the long lifespan of the LEDs, special efficient power suppliers that contribute to power saving and wireless dimmers.
DST’s light fixtures can be installed in ceilings, walls and lowered ceilings.
